PLEASE JOIN US FOR SEABECK NIGHT IN CANADA
January 19, 2019 at 6:30 PM
North Shore Unitarian Church
370 Mathers Avenue
West Vancouver, BC V7S 1H3
There will be a Potluck Dinner and a program about the Pines project and how guests use Seabeck. Seabeck is the home for many groups that draw from Canada and a couple of them will talk about what Seabeck means to them and their programs. It would be a great event to bring someone who has never been to Seabeck. We hope to build awareness of Seabeck, our Guest Groups and the Pines Capital Campaign. No reservations are needed.

LAY LEADER TRAINING SPECIAL UPDATE: SUMMER 2019
The CUC is pleased to announce that the Serving With Spirit: Nurturing UU Lay Leaders Retreat will be happening in both Eastern and Western Canada in Summer 2019. This retreat was met with great reviews following our first attempt in 2017 and we will be offering it July 26- 28 [Eastern] and August 9- 11 [Western], locations TBD.
Do you wish that you experienced your participation in your congregation as an expression of ministry, not primarily an obligation to do your part?
We invite you to a weekend to explore where you find the “springs” which fill your life’s well of energy, and how you can live out of that rich resource. There will be opportunities to connect with and be informed by other UUs, times, to engage with others as we learn new and hone familiar strategies, and space to do deep reflection, identifying and strengthening the rich practice potential in your own life.
Please Note: In addition to the Retreat, two specialized Lay Leader Training sessions will be offered, one for Eastern- UU History with Stefan Jonasson July 27 and one in Western- Stronger Together: Planning for Partnership with Rev. Joan Van Becelaere, August 10.
