To celebrate the idea of “Renewed Faith,” Joy will share stories about her experience visiting an isolated hospital in India, an intentional community Dr. Lotta Hitschmanova called her “second home,” which she ensured the USC supported for over 25 years.
Joy Llewellyn is an avid long-distance hiker who loves living out of a backpack. She was a longtime member of the North Shore Unitarian Church, and has travelled the world researching Dr. Lotta Hitschmanova and visiting Unitarian Service Committee of Canada project sites. She is now retired from her career as a screenwriter and story editor, having taught screenwriting in Canada, India, and China. Joy now lives on a small island where she writes novels about adventurous female rebels.
