A recent UUA Study Commission review of the Unitarian Principles and Purposes states, “love is the power that holds us together and is at the center of our shared values.” In congregations, we come together Sundays, and often in between, because we both long for and value community. Today, we’ll consider ways that a congregational community can hold love at the center.
This service’s guest speaker Janet Pivnick is a Unitarian Ministerial candidate with a background in education, environmental work and culture change. This year, she has been undertaking a field study focused on developing communities rooted in love.
Please join us on February 11, 2024 at 3:30 pm for an in-person, full sanctuary service with guest speaker Janet Pivnick speaking on our Soul Matters theme this month, Love. This service will be held at 15639 – 24th Ave, in the Peninsula United Church. Following the service you are invited to stay for games, and refreshments. Games will be available, but feel free to bring a favourite board game, card game or puzzle to share.
