Our History
The first South Fraser Unitarian Congregation service was held on January 14, 1990. On May 6, 1990, 45 charter members signed the membership book. Our congregation gratefully received startup funds from the Unitarian Church of Vancouver and the Canadian Unitarian Council. Rev. Brian Kiely nurtured and served the congregation for our first seven years.
Over the past thirty years SFUC has been the home and community for many. The congregation has demonstrated its resilience to survive in a high real estate, commuting neighbourhood. Many members dream of growing our congregation’s outreach and effectiveness in disseminating liberal religious values.
